Yes Fllay was a psycho bitch, but that was her lot in the story. She was written for that purpose and had no real choice in the matter. Lacus was who she was because that's what the writers wanted her to be. You think that Flay would have chose what happened. Likely not. Just like I don't think that Lacus would have become a war goddess either. They both got sucked into something which chewed them up and spit them out. Fllay was looking out for number one. She blamed Kira for her father's death and then preceeeded to use her ass to stablize Kira for having to skirmish his best friend on a near battle to battle basis. she knew he was the only one who could ensure the ship's survival yet she still blamed him. Towards the end Kira finally saw how wrong it was and finally let her go. People should remember the fact that makes stories so good is because the cast is flawed. So in the scheme of things nobody was really wrong in that sense which was one of the point that they tried to get across. 'This is your brain on war.
