Comic series and some anime scenes are already service for novel fans... as a novel fans I really hope so, but it is possibly impossible.
Shana novel ended and that's why AMW(the novel publisher of novel/comic) possibly not willing to pay such money for ended series. AMW still have many many new (novel to anime) series to go. Even though I am not interest in one of those.
And Shana DVD sells not very good since OVA S series. Even not much improvement for Final series. Just about 1/3 or less of the 1st/2nd series. JC already done their best to the Final.
The length of animted Eternal Song should be as lease a 2-hours movie or in 4 volume of 30 minutes OVA series. Only the original novel/comic reader will interest in and buy. It will be a gambling rather than an investment for both AMW and JC to pay for this.
More over, there is a technical problem should be overcome - that eternal song., the most difficult to do. Unlike Final series JC can simply cut the song, for the anime Eternal Song, is not possible to do so.
